A member of the Knowledgeable Producers Forums called Krux has written a very interesting "Mega Guide" about Native Instruments synthesizer Massive. This PDF guide explains nearly every button of this great synthesizer plugin. The document is divided in these sections: Oscillators, Modulation Oscillator, Noise, Oscillator, Feedback control, The insert effects, The Macro Controls, Modulation and central panel, effects section and filter section. He also explains Massive's routing functions.
I released a fresh free sample pack with 15 dubstep snare sounds. These snare samples were recorded as 24bit high quality WAV samples at a 140bpm tempo. The samples could also be used in other electronical genres beside dubstep like trap, glitch hop or anything else. Just load them into your DAW of choice and start to work with them!
The great musician website Bedroomproducersblog.com released a free dual filter effect vst plugin. It is built around a tube simulation circuit which is based on Audio Assault’s commercial tube amplifier plugin GrindMachine. FilterCrusher was developed by the sound engineers of Audio Assault and it is available for free download exclusively on the Bedroomproducersblog.com website.
This filter plugin is released as a 32bit as well as 64bit version and is available for Windows and Mac. You can use this plugin in any DAW with a VST interface like FL Studio, Logic, Cubase, etc.
"FilterCrusher features a pair of resonant filters (high pass and low pass) which operate individually. Due to their transparent sound at the lowest resonance setting, the two filters can be used for cleaning up the top and bottom end of audio tracks. At higher resonance settings, they can be used for various creative purposes such as filter sweep effects, boosting certain regions of the frequency spectrum (e.g. adding more thump to bass drums), emulating the frequency response of analogue circuits, etc."
