One-shots can be used stand-alone, or in a pattern to create your own loops. In most cases, drums, sound effects and vocal shots come as one-shots with a clean fade-out.

Loops on the other hand are characterized by an abrupt ending. The advantage is, that you can loop them by placing the files one after another inside your DAW, audio/video software. This creates seamless melodies, drum tracks and atmospheres with a specific tempo which is characterized by a BPM.
